We are happy & comfortable looking after patients with diabetes, heart disease, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, obesity, high blood pressure & cholesterol, depression etc. We are also able to provide routine recommended preventative health care as well as travel vaccinations & advice

Dr Sunita graduated in 2003 (Adelaide University) and has a special interest in antenatal shared care, lesion excisions, inserts & removes Mirena and Copper T IUDs and Implanons.

Dr Eleanor Burton: Dr Eleanor graduated from Adelaide University in 2010. She has a Diploma of Child Health and a Certificate of Women’s Health. She has a special interest in contraception, sexual health, women’s health, obstetrics, paediatrics and preventative health care.

Dr Sien Tan in Mawson Lakes Healthcare

Dr Sien Tan

Dr Sien graduated in 2010 from the University of Adelaide. He has a special interest in chronic disease management, paediatrics, preventative medicine and skin lesion removals/excisions. He also inserts and removes implanons. Fluent in Malay.

Dr Rachel graduated from University of New South Wales in 2010. She has a special interest in mental health, chronic disease management and preventative medicine and inserts & removes implanons. Fluent in Malay.
Dr Julia Wellalagodage

Dr Dominique Baume

Dr Dominique graduated in 2013 from the University of Adelaide. She completed her internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital before moving to Sydney for her residency and further training in mental health and palliative care medicine. Dr Dominique has completed the FPAA certificate in sexual and reproductive medicine, and has a special interest in women’s health (particularly contraception and menopause management), sexual health and trans and gender diverse healthcare. She is able to offer implanon insertion/removal, iron infusions as well as mental health care plans and GP management plans for chronic conditions. Other languages spoken: French (conversational)
Dr Joanna Chanmugam - doctor at Mawson Lakes

Dr Joanna Chanmugam

Dr Joanna graduated from University of Western Sydney in year 2012. She has completed internship and residency at Bathurst, Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals. General Practice training in Sydney and continued to work as a GP after obtaining fellowship with the RACGP in 2017 in Western Sydney. She also completed Diploma in Child Health. Her special interest are women’s health, paediatrics, general medicine, preventative health and chronic disease management.

Dr Tendai graduated from the University of Zimbabwe medical school in 2007 and trained as a general practitioner with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.  She has special interest in Women's Health, Mental Health and Chronic disease management. Dr Simon Austin - doctor at Mawson Lakes

Dr Simon Austin

Dr Simon graduating from Flinders University in 2017.  He spent over 20 years working on preventative and musculoskeletal health as a chiropractor before returning to Adelaide from the UK and then graduating from Flinders Medical School in 2017. He has interest in wellbeing, chronic disease management, family medicine & paediatrics. He provides a broad range of health services on Wednesday to Friday at Mawson Lakes Healthcare.

Dr Deb Bird

Dr Deborah graduated from Monash University in year 2012. She completed internship and residency in metropolitan Melbourne and then went on to train in General Practice in country Victoria. Since fellowship with the RACGP she has worked in Alice Springs before moving to Adelaide. She has also completed a Diploma of Child Health. She enjoys working in all areas of general practice but has a particular interest in paediatrics.

Dr James Hughes

 Dr James is a GP registrar who joined the clinic in February 2024. He graduated from Flinders University in year 2020. He has two years of hospital medicine in the Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospital followed by one year at a GP practice in Modbury.
Dr Hughes previously worked as a scientist before entering medical training 7 years ago. Dr Hughes is excited to be joining Mawson Lakes Healthcare as part of his GP training and is happy to see all types of GP presentations. Dr Hughes has three children and his interests outside medicine include bushwalking and staying active.

Dr Soumya Prasad

Dr Soumya is a GP registrar who joined the clinic in February 2024. She graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,Karnataka, India in year 2006. After moving to Australia she has worked at Flinders Medical Centre, Repat Health Precinct, Lyell McEwin Hospital and also completed Sydney Child Health Program.
Dr Soumya has special interest in Women’s health, GP Obstetrics Shared care, Mirena insertion & removal, Implanon insertion & removal and Paediatrics. She is also interesed in Chronic Disease management, preventative Medicine & Dementia. Other languages spoken Kannada

Dr Anthony Wong

Dr Anthony is a GP registrar who joined the clinic in February 2024. He graduated from University of Adelaide in 1995. After completion of internship and a general residency year at Modbury Hospital. Dr Anthony worked as a Senior Medical Practitioner in the Emergency Department of Modbury Hospital for a number of years. Then worked in the field of health management as Director of Medical Services at a number of Country Hospitals in South Australia as well as interstate. Dr Anthony commenced General Practice training in 2021 and happy to see all types of GP presentations. Other languages spoken Cantonese and Hakka.
